Dundalk Chamber Skillnet is delighted to collaborate with Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) to offer an innovative Operational Excellence in Supply Change Management Course, QQI Level 7. This course is another example of these two organisations partnering to meet current industry needs to enhance regional capabilities.

This is an innovative programme that introduces operational excellence techniques into standard supply chain processes to support a leaner, more agile, and more profitable supply chain”.
This new 1-year 3 semester long Level 7 Diploma in Operational Excellence for Supply Chain Management aims to give employees from a variety of backgrounds the additional skills, to further enhance their cross disciplinary abilities in the area of Operational Performance.
Operational excellence is a holistic culture change where all employees are empowered and driven to execute the organisational strategy in the most efficient and cost-effective way. Companies are starting to align operational excellence teams at the strategic, value creation, value chain and customer experience levels to enable end-to-end business transformation.
This programme will incorporate major aspects of Operational Excellence such as data and technology driving insights, inventory management unlocking organisational flexibility, omnichannel utilisation as a better way of sourcing, transporting and providing logistics for their products and organisational resilience for dynamic adaptability.
The programme will also include an industry led project where students will be required to utilise the knowledge, skills and competencies gained to apply and improve operational effectiveness within a business environment.
Learning Outcomes on completion of the training programme will include participants being able to demonstrate specialised knowledge of the theory, concepts and practices pertaining to the management of a modern supply chain.
This programme is 80% funded for SME’s (less than 250 employees) through Skillnet Irelands Future Dynamics, Co-Creation initiative. The initiative funds innovative collaborations between business, industry bodies and the training and education ecosystem to address a changing talent landscape.
