Programme overview
This one-year, part-time Cert in Management is designed for professionals ready to take the next step in their career. Delivered in partnership with Dundalk Chamber Skillnet and Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT), the programme supports aspiring and current managers to build strong, practical managerial skills.
The programme is ideal for those seeking to enhance their leadership capabilities, transition into a management role, or progress within their organisation.
Learners who complete this Certificate can progress to the Postgraduate Diploma in year 2 and MSc (Masters) in Management and Leadership in year 3, building a full leadership pathway.
It’s the only leadership development pathway of its kind in the North East, designed specifically to support long-term professional growth. By building skills year-on-year, participants gain the confidence and capability to lead strategically and make a lasting impact within their organisations.
Classes are held one evening per week (Tuesdays, 3 hours on campus), with a weekly online tutorial (Thursdays, 1 hour) to support flexible study. The programme blends lectures with webinars, guest industry speakers, and peer-to-peer discussion forums—making it both engaging and practical.
Supported by Skillnet Ireland and co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union under ESF+, this programme offers an accessible and affordable opportunity to gain a recognised Level 9 qualification while working.
