Programme overview

This one-day “Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis Workshop” is designed to equip participants with the essential tools and techniques to identify, analyse, and resolve real-world process issues.

The workshop blends structured problem-solving methodology with engaging, hands-on activities to build both competence and confidence. Through a combination of interactive instruction, team-based exercises, and a dynamic Catapult Simulation, participants will experience the full problem-solving cycle—
from defining the problem to implementing and sustaining effective solutions.

This workshop is ideal for organisations committed to building a continuous improvement culture within their organizations.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of the training programme, participants will:

Understand the structured approach to problem solving and root cause analysis
Learn how to clearly define problems using data and facts
Apply root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.) effectively
Practice countermeasure development and implementation
Gain hands-on experience through practical exercises including the Catapult simulation
Be able to document and communicate problem-solving efforts using a simple A3 and 8D format
